As an intuitive counselor and clinical psychologist myself, I was overjoyed that the mainstream media has finally turned its attention to the “paranormal” side of life. In Nightline’s Beyond Belief: Revealing Intuitive Ability or Causing More Harm Than Good? hosted by Cynthia McFadden, people like best-selling author James Van Praagh were put to the test, while correspondent David Wright turned from a skeptic into a believer after meeting two gifted moms. Though the show covered many areas—from the street psychic (which I do not believe in either, truthfully) and a psychic school in Berkley, to two moms (which I most identify with), one of whom, Alison Dubois, the television show “Medium” was inspired by—as a whole, may have served only to project further society’s notion of psychics as frauds.

Despite Beyond Belief’s extraordinary potential to broaden the perception of a large audience on delicate subjects, it failed miserably at explaining the truth of the intuitive mind. Beginning with doubting correspondents such as Josh Elliot and Juju Chang, the only one who appeared to be open to believing in the possibility of our mind’s ability to access information beyond the five senses was David Wright—largely because of his experiences with best-selling authors and mediums Rebecca Rosen and Alison Dubois.

Though the show may have had the best of intentions, I feel it made a mockery out of what I, and others like me, do by sensationalizing it. One segment with notorious debunker and mentalist Banachek turned into a full-on game show with a prize of a million dollars going to the best psychic. Firstly, the word psychic itself is cringe-worthy because of the stereotypes attached to the term. Secondly, real intuitives do not need to use props like tarot cards or palm-reading techniques to tap into another person’s field of energy. Media interpretations like Beyond Belief are, if anything, a blockage to elevating our awareness on this subject.

For me, Rebecca Rosen truly made the program. She knew that the correspondent's mother would give him a rainbow, and when the two walked outside, multicolored rays reaffirmed that the message was received correctly by Rebecca. She helped to turn the episode around and by being one of the only factors, which proved the true ability of the mind. I perhaps relate to her the most. I too am a mother. I have four children. I was born in Romania and had a near death experience that awoke my senses and gave me certain abilities to “see.” My children grew up with me telling people things that would happen before they did, and at times it seemed as if my children would also grow up with the same strong intuitive ability that I had, which for whatever reason grew with me as I grew older.

Over the years, I’ve not only foretold other people’s futures, but made countless world predictions which came true and are verifiable on tape such as a recent appearance on WNBC Weekend Today in New York when on air, live, I shockingly told the weekend host, Pat Battle that her mother had just passed, and it had happened three days before and she hadn’t even told anyone yet. She was visibly reduced to tears. I felt terrible about breaking the news on live television, but was also happy to show that these were not “guesses that could be Googled,” as one of the correspondents said during his interview with James Van Praagh on Beyond Belief. In my field, it isn’t always easy to give information and sometimes the client does not want to hear it, but it only takes turning one skeptic into a believer. That starts the chain of wonderment that continues to grow, and in my hope start to open the world up to knowing and seeing that being connected to the universe can help you achieve all you wish for in your life.

As The Berkeley School said, and doctors on the show, it is also my firm belief that we all possess a sense of intuition, and that most of us would deem it the hazy and distant voice from within. I also believe—and know from my own experience—that our intuition must not be cast aside as unreliable. It must be considered the “gut instinct” that will always lead you to the right direction. Some call it Faith, some call it Divine Spirit, I call it what it is, scientifically from my research as Science of the Mind. And we, if left unattended and not well-developed, we are more likely to dismiss its potential and power. As with anything else in life, intuition becomes clearer and more accessible through practice and open-mindedness. Channeling and using our intuition, and our trust of what we see like James Van Praagh, or John Edward or Rebecca Rosen, equals using a larger capacity of our minds and bridging the left and right sides of the brain. From my clinical research into the mind, I’ve found that intuition has a lot to do with going beyond the cognitive, conscious mind and entering the subconscious mind where all of our problems exist submerged. It has been my personal experience working with clients, well beyond the psychological perspective and into my intuitive gifts, that if well-utilized, our intuition can become a constructive way to resolve issues in everyday life.

With Beyond Belief, the viewers were not able to see that scientific side about the brain, how it works, or does not work if not exercised, like one of the experts on the show said. There is definitely a difference from being a piano player and a world renowned concert pianist. As a result, some of these self-proclaimed psychics featured on Beyond Belief had no knowledge on the subject and therefore could not stand up to the harsh criticism of the interviewers (with the exception of James Van Praagh, whom they discredited entirely too quickly). Surely, there exist both intuitives with real talent, and also those who are scams, as in any other profession, but it seemed all too clear that this show purposely targeted the scam-psychics as guests.

However, as Cynthia said, there is a true fascination with this content and I am thrilled that as long as there are people willing to open their mind, there is hope for all of us. Watching a growth in the number of shows with a paranormal focus demonstrates that, skeptic or not, our curiosity of the higher dimension is increasing. Is this to say that the factual existence of the paranormal is becoming harder and harder to ignore?

As a Ph.D. and intuitive counselor, I've witnessed my fair share of paranormal experiences. In my practice, I don’t rely on just my intuitive powers to help me guide my clients towards fulfillment, inner peace, and success; I combine my knowledge of cognitive therapy with my keen abilities and sprinkle in a dash of ancient wisdom to reach the root of my clients’ problems. I have helped save marriages, predicted world events and the potential crash of the world financial system, and political outcomes. It has always been my quest to combine the real with the seemingly unreal, the tangible with the intangible, and to show the undeniable connection between the two realms, which dominate our lives. And I continually strive to show others that we were not meant to operate on only that which is certifiable through the scientific method; the paranormal transcends into our normal world every day. It hints at its own existence in our daily lives through dreams, inexplicable experiences, or that feeling of knowing. The two realms merge and are inseparable, yet we only allow ourselves to live on one dimension. As James Van Praagh said in Beyond Belief: this is much easier to do than to open our minds to the possibility of something more.

It is exactly that mindset of cynicism and narrow-mindedness, which keeps us from finding resolutions to our problems during this crucial time of transformation. If we were to base the ordinary person’s understanding of the “psychic phenomenon” on a show like Beyond Belief, then it would be safe to assume that we still haven’t come to comprehend the true meaning of intuition and the expansion of the mind. It is my sincere hope that we can collectively acknowledge the realm, which transcends our own, and embrace it as the ever-powerful force it is. If we don’t get this together by 2012, we are in for a huge awakening.

A Death We See All Too Often: Amy Winehouse
We may not understand that we can't control addiction- it controls us.
Simply put, we live in a world of addiction: addiction to drugs, alcohol, sex, money, food, people, dangerous behavior, etc. It seems that we have forsaken a lifestyle of moderation as we spiral further out of balance. We see cases like Amy's everyday. We are drawn to people like Amy Winehouse because addiction is an epidemic: good or bad, it has become a part of our society. Amy's death is like a tragic car accident on the side of the road: we know it's wrong to look but can't stop staring. In many ways, when something happens to someone else, it takes the focus off of us and our responsibilities to ourselves.
Amy suffered from a substance abuse disorder since she was a teenager. Although the exact cause of her death has not yet been specified, I believe Amy died of a toxic combination of alcohol with amphetamine or cocaine. Though she had just gotten out of rehab, Amy's reintegration into the normal world was premature because she was still psychologically dependent on various substances. Amy was still at serious risk for relapse into abuse and subsequent physical dependence: her time in rehab was insufficient for her to beat her dependence. Psychological dependence does not have to be limited only to substances; Amy's behavioral patterns can be considered "addictions" if they become uncontrollable: self-injury by compulsive drinking and taking drugs in the same time can become incredibly harmful.
But what does Amy's death, in turn, say about us as a nation? We have become accustomed to witnessing younger and younger celebrities dying before their time due to addiction. What we fail to realize is that as our attitude towards such tragedies becomes more careless, we subconsciously allow such senseless tragedies to occur more frequently. This is not normal or right. We have to reclaim our sense of balance and inner harmony to finally stop the cycle of substance abuse and self-destruction.

On The Marriage of Prince William and Kate

Today’s the big day! Seems like every TV station’s focusing on the prim and proper royal décor, the tens of thousands in attendance, and the elegance of the new princess’ wedding dress (thank goodness she didn’t pick red!). This wedding looks out of this world in splendor and lavishness. But is anyone asking themselves the real question: will it last?
Numerologically speaking, they certainly picked the right year to get married. Prince William’s a number 11 and Kate Middleton’s a number 3. His divine life code makes Prince William incredibly enlightened, evolved, grounded, and a natural born-leader. In fact, the majority of the world’s leaders and influential figures are a number 11: Jesus, Buddha, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Ronald Reagan, Al Gore, and Prince Charles all share the life code of 11! There’s a lot of interest in Prince William, especially being the son of Diana. He is meant to bring much enlightenment and evolution to others. William knows his role and would portray a king superbly. He will actually replace the Queen very soon! Kate, on the other hand, is on a different level of perception than William: as a number 3, she is charming, creative, sweet, and wise. She is capable of bringing much stability and the idea of a family into William’s life, so the combination is complimentary. William and Kate do love each other a lot and there’s an extreme compatibility between them. Theirs is a marriage founded on the right morals and I believe they will soon have a child, who will have a very interesting link to Princess Diana in terms of the day, month, and year she will be born. A bit further in the future, William and Kate will have a son, too.
But the royal house of England, unfortunately, has racked up its fair share of negative karma over the centuries: from Henry VIII’s notoriously promiscuous reign, to the lonely years of Queen Victoria after her husband’s premature death, to the tragic love scandal and death of Princess Diana, it seems that the members of the British monarchy cannot be used as examples of everlasting marriage. The ancient family karma which has been passed down from king to king or queen to queen will cause this marriage to last for five to twelve years. Neither of them will do anything “wrong” to cause the split, but there is tremendous pressure on and a negative family karma hovering over this marriage. Outside influences and energies might take this marriage, which is beautiful in essence, out of balance in the future. In addition, the world is undergoing so many major changes at the moment, and these will translate into marital burdens for the couple. I actually believe that Prince William will be the very last king of England and that, after him, the long succession of British monarchs will finally see its end.
This is because humanity is destined to change its long-standing conventions in the near future. Institutions which have been around for hundreds or even thousands of years (the government, forms of leadership, banks, large companies, etc.) will all crumble in the coming years. Regarding the big changes to the royal house, Prince William will understand and accept them. And these changes are for our own good! Over hundreds of years, our views, opinions, and ways of doing things have all changed dramatically. Yet the institutions have all remained the same; there is something very wrong with that! It’s time we wipe out that which was established in antiquity and start on a clean slate, drawing on inspiration from not just the past, but the future. We are a race of incredible resilience, brimming every day with new ideas. We’re capable of achieving anything and everything! So why cling to the “old systems” so desperately? The OLD ways of the world are jaded in thought and, most importantly, simply don’t work for us anymore. So brace yourself: within the next decade, we’ll adopt the motto “out with the old and in with the new,” and everything happening in our world will reflect this mentality…including the system of the British monarchy.
This is wonderful news for us all. Although it may seem overwhelming, we’re coming together to embrace the new patterns as a whole. And together, there is nothing we can’t do. Do you agree? Then you might want to check out my new book, Wholeliness: Embracing the Sacred Unity That Heals Our World, available everywhere books are sold. In it, I delve into the collapse of our current (old) system, the birth of a new world, the need for unity now more than ever, and, of course, I make quite a lot of exciting predictions for our future. And yes, this long list of predictions includes Prince William’s reign and the end of the British monarchy!

Shaky World Politics Signal the Beginning of a New Era

At the end of 2009, I predicted that 2010 would be a year of physical earthquakes. And I felt that earthquakes would continue throughout 2011, only not the kind you may be thinking: this year will be the year of earthquakes of the system, or “political earthquakes.”
As I accurately predicted on Positively Incorrect! with Scott Cluthe and in Ring magazine in December of 2010, this year will begin with substantial turmoil of the political kind, including the collapse of multiple forms of government and the resignation of leaders from various parts of the world. What we see in Egypt right now is only the beginning of an ever-spreading epidemic of political eruptions. As an analogy, it took the Berlin wall to fall for communist countries to become freed from the regime. Today, we find ourselves in a similar do-or-die situation; this time in our history is the end of an era and the beginning of a new system. What we see may seem like chaos, and I can understand why our leaders are scared for the future. But there is neither a reason to be afraid, nor does fear bring about any good.
On the contrary, we cannot step into a new world still clinging to the old ways of things. This is the time of change and reform, and what we have known for hundreds of years is no longer valid in our evolving world. The uprisings which we will continually witness are actually necessary in order to drive forth change: something must always pass through a stage of chaos in order to emerge as something new. All of this unrest is part of the process of change, real change, change in which people have the right to create a better life for themselves.
It’s becoming evident that billions of people around the globe want to take matters into their own hands. People are becoming skeptics to their leaders standing at a podium, smiling and promising change and good things to come. They see that their leaders are not keeping their guarantees of a better tomorrow. Realistically speaking, our leaders cannot enact change if we do not participate in it and do our part.
Opposing change, choosing to be in denial of it and insisting on keeping the old world order in place are not going to work any longer. Rather, this stubborn mentality will only deepen our problems. Throughout 2011, we will see institutions, forms of government, and the old ways “going out of business.” We will also see the beginning of an era of leaders who promote cooperation, unity and peace.
It is becoming obvious through the actions of people all over the world that humanity has to come together as one. People know what they want, and they all want the same thing. They don't want dictatorships, they don't want the same form of government, and they don't want the same failing economic system and cruel injustices. Our world changes are coming sooner than we think, and we have to stop fighting them and start accepting them.
Love Always,
Dr. Carmen Harra

People can learn to access compassion by applying many of the eternal principles to their own lives. For example, compassion is contingent to the Law of Love. One cannot have compassion unless he knows how to love without limits. Loving unconditionally heals our hatred and tendency to conflict with others and reminds us of our Divine nature. This also ties into the Law of Totality and the fact that all people are one and are united with the Divine. Compassion pours forth if you acknowledge your sacred bond to the other members of this Earth. Also, the Law of Harmony states that there is a Divine order in the universe, and that we must be in harmony with everyone and everything: we are meant to live in good relationships with all people living on this planet. This is a critical part of reaching common ground and not fighting against one another about "who's right and who's wrong." If we live in a combative manner because we think only we are right, in the end we will all be wrong. The moment we begin to fight among ourselves, we begin to create what is called negative karma; the Law of Karma is the number one law of spirituality and this is the almighty law we have to answer to anytime we kill, we accuse, we judge, we hate, we are proud, etc. But above all, there is nothing worse than being combative to the point of killing another human over opposing ideas, beliefs, etc. These overly-strong opinions about politics, these wrong reasons to wage war upon others, these superficial excuses to trigger emotions of hatred among us...these are distractions from life and the beauty that could be life. As one of my favorite quotes states: "When the Power of Love, overcomes the Love of Power, the world will know Peace."

The recent shooting in Tucson, AZ demonstrated just how conflicted and exaggerated we are when it comes to political views. The younger generation wants their voices to be heard, but some of them can come across too aggressively. I did my thesis on "Imposters in Adolescence," and I know that Jared Lee Loughner (the shooter) is still of an age where doesn't yet understand the consequences of his actions. I believe he had big problems with people in his family, his mother and father especially. I sense that he felt misunderstood by and alienated from his family. He therefore lashed out in violence. Kids born between 1984 to 1996 have tendencies towards very destructive behaviour. In the last 12 years, from 1999 up to now, we have seen a seeming surge in episodes of sheer violence catapulted by adolescents. If were to compile a statistic on their birth dates, we would interestingly see that these victims of self-destruction were born between 1984 to 1996. The astrological explanation is that the destructive planet, Pluto, reigned in the house of Scorpio during these 12 years.

How can a woman begin her journey to success?

The “success” of an average American woman fifty years ago was typically measured by her ability to cook creative multiple-course dinners, scrub her bathroom tiles spotless, and by how cheerily she could greet her husband after his draining day at work. While performing her chores, this homebound woman might have imagined her husband’s position as a powerful CEO of a marketing firm. As she carefully placed oven mitts over her hands, she might have envied that society promoted his gender as the mighty man who tackled the workload in the real world, and suppressed hers as the meek woman who waited patiently for her husband’s arrival each night. This very woman might have dreamed of the monumental day when the exciting prospects which were offered only to men might be rightfully extended to women, too.
Thankfully, that day arrived: through the rebellious declarations of fervent women everywhere, society slowly broadened its vision to sanction equal opportunity to both genders. Today, if you envision a highly successful criminal attorney, do you automatically know which gender to attribute to the lawyer? Consider that although we did not used to have a collective voice in this world, we now watch proudly as the female Speaker of the House and Secretary of State deliver brilliant speeches. Yet women must continue to leap beyond the bounds of their great female predecessors in order to ensure that the future still lends to them the most honorable of possibilities.
But how can a woman begin her journey to success? Regardless of her field of work, what steps exactly should she take to guarantee the most positive outcomes in all occupational ventures? Whether she owns her own business or works for a large corporation among many employees, any woman can apply the simple strategies below to advance her career:
·         Every woman should think of herself as a powerhouse and should never be intimidated by the fact that she may have overwhelming extra responsibilities as a mother, wife, homemaker, etc. Most of all, she must never allow herself threatened by the fact that her husband might be the breadwinner of the family; she can provide the same, if not more. She must remain calculated in lending time to each factor of her life; and although she may have to split herself many ways, she must rest assured that she is an intrinsic master of multitasking.
·         Women have been blessed by an amazing creative energy: they have what is deemed the “divine feminine energy,” stemming back to countless ancient sources. Creativity is the key to achieving any goal because it makes the process from start to finish individually unique. Without utilizing her creative mind, a business task will not take off to new heights.
·         Wisdom was granted in abundance to women:  they should rely on it greatly in resolving how to erect the foundations of their businesses. We hold a heightened sense of wisdom over men: there’s a concrete reason that “mother always knows best.” Once the basis of a woman’s business is established, she should rely on her intuitive insight to build it from the ground up.
·         Tying into the former point, women are born with a much keener intuitive insight than men: they are more complete from a chromosomal point of view, as they have two balanced, identical X chromosomes. They must, therefore, trust always their instinct: the capacity of their minds to accurately anticipate when to embark on certain business projects, what types of professions suit them best, what sorts of unique skills and abilities they hold, and with whom to associate themselves in terms of work partners or employees.
·         Women are quite the competitive creatures: we want to do it better than anyone else. They should use this innate gift to their advantage. A woman should not shrink back from this natural tendency, and should never repress the urge to outperform the opposition.
·         We are also very prone to socializing: women are effortless experts in networking. This inherent aptitude derives from the fact that women are the more “charming” of the two sexes: we will instinctively smile more often, greet clients or potential business partners more warmly, and will wish to reach out to more persons in a social situation. That women appreciate a higher amount of attention from those around them than men do easily explains this inclination to network on a greater scale. A certain level of this friendly tendency is allowed in the professional world as it is for our benefit to spike others’ interest in our businesses.
Women are infinitely talented and indefinitely qualified for success. After all, we are the only ones able to bring new life to this earth, and if we were bestowed with such a remarkable gift, then we are literally capable of reaching any victory for which we so deservingly strive.

December 21, 2012

The date of winter solstice in the year 2012, the end of the Mayan calendar, has the energy of 11 (1 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 2 =11). It is the official beginning of a new era in the human experience, of raised consciousness as we evolve into beings with greater awareness and understanding of our divine nature.

December 21, 2012 will NOT be a doomsday or the end of the world. BUT we are headed toward great suffering and climate changes if we don't break out of our denial and begin to raise our consciousness. Learn more about how to heal your personal suffering and participate in this great upheaval in human history in The Eleven Eternal Principles by Dr. Carmen Harra. We must turn around the course of human history!

As we approach 12/21/2012, our experiences will be more challenging. 2010 will be a year of awakening as we begin to realize just how serious our situation is and world leaders begin to come together to imagine new economic systems and new ways of dealing with climate change. WE MUST ACT NOW! We must evolve or we will increase human suffering around the globe.

Learn how to change your life by avoiding anger, envy, gossip, and despair.

Avoid being around people who gossip, judge, or blame, and do not indulge in any of these activities yourself. Don’t follow the lead of someone who encourages you to have a cynical attitude or to be judgmental of others. If such a leader has skills or resources to share, you might be able to learn something from him, but be very careful about allowing your admiration for his talents and successes to blind you to his destructive beliefs and behaviors. Emulating such people and adopting their low-vibration beliefs will hold you back from manifesting positive circumstances and bringing your dreams into reality. Look to healthier people for examples of how to create what you desire. You do not have to succumb to snobbery or self-righteousness…

Always remain aware of how damaging anger, jealousy, gossip, and depression are. Commit to not letting them be a part of your vision of the world. Work at ridding yourself of destructive thoughts and feelings. Every time you feel a dark emotion, stop yourself, recognize that this will prevent you from manifesting joy and make a conscious decision to take yourself into a higher state of consciousness. If you are angry, walk out of the room. If you are upset, take the time to go somewhere and cry until the feeling passes. Whatever you do, stop yourself from creating a train of thought that prolongs negativity. Say to yourself, “I’m furious right now and that is okay, because the intensity of my anger is passing away even now. I’m going to bring love and curiousity into this situation so that I can learn from it and start making it better.” With practice, you will be able to create a positive intention very quickly.

In this way, you will develop the habit of recognizing when you are about to engage in a battle. Instead of charging into it, you will be able to defuse the anger and fear, bringing in a positive, healing energy. You do not have to feel discomfort in your stomach, throbbing in your head, or tension in your muscles caused by rage. Manifest peace and creativity in your mind and your body, express it, and transform the emotional energy in your small corner of the world.

Rather than avoid someone who is upset, or take on their negative emotional state, it feels wonderful to be able to approach them and gently validate their frustration while offering a possible solution or a little joke to lighten the mood…

Be patient with yourself, because change takes time. If you find yourself losing hope and feeling powerless, break down your plan of action into small steps. A desire to meet a good partner, build a great relationship, and get married is a very large goal. It can be difficult to see what you can do today toward meeting it. The small step you take toward this goal may be to go on a date. Tomorrow you can exercise to boost your mood. The next day you may take some time to ponder a problematic behavior you want to change. Every day, you can take at least one small step toward manifesting the life you say you want.

Give up the desire for a quick fix to your greatest challenge. If you received such a gift, you’d be likely to squander it because you hadn’t learned the lessons you needed to learn along the way to your achieving your goal. People who become rich and famous very quickly or who move in immediately after they begin a relationship with someone often discover this painful truth. Align yourself with the Divine and your goal will manifest exactly as it is meant to, in perfect timing, thanks to your hard work and attitude and a positive response from the Universe.

IS 2012 THE END OF THE WORLD? ARE THE MAYAN PROPHECIES RIGHT?

Recently, there is been a surge of interest in energy medicine, psychics, mediums, 2012 prophecies from Nostradamus, the Hopi, the Inca, the Maya, and others. The 2012 movie is a box office hit and people are wondering, is doomsday really coming? Are we going to face nuclear war? Will the overpopulation on earth cause global warming to increase to the point of no return?
We sense that we're on the precipice of a great change, and wondering, “Where are we going? What will happen to humanity?” Problems at home and abroad seem overwhelming, and we think, “How can we possibly fix all these problems?” Our instincts tell us that human beings need to undergo a major spiritual shift, a major awakening of awareness. But we ask ourselves, how can this happen when so many people are so greedy, small-minded, and heartless in their behavior?
At the same time, much as we want to see the world transform into a more peaceful and loving place, we're afraid of the big changes we'd have to experience in order to bring that about. We say we want change, but we're afraid of suffering and the unknown, so we resist taking the big plunge into a radical transformation. The work of evolution can be difficult, even painful, but we must do it. We need to raise ourselves to a higher level of awareness before it is too late.
The ancient prophecies of many civilizations point to this era as a turning point when we will undergo tremendous shifts in our experience as beings on this planet. I believe we will avoid a 2012 doomsday. It will not be the end of the world, or of humanity.  It's God's intention that we survive. We've always had God to direct our evolution, and he is not going to abandon us now. But God wants us to follow the metaphysical teachings. We must do our part and resolve our karma. We must experience our unity with each other and the divine, and embrace creativity, optimism, and hope. We have to stop identifying with the man-made world and remember our eternal nature. We are immortal souls who have temporarily taken on a physical form in order to purify ourselves, resolving our karma. We've forgotten that this is the reason we're all here.
The human race has had to evolve in the past. Humankind survived the Ice Age, and now we will evolve to survive the changes that will happen on this planet as cosmic forces come into play. But we have to stop resisting our evolutionary process and making our problems worse! We can't continue to push back against the forces of change and growth. As human beings trying to save ourselves and our planet, we need to “step it up.”
December 21, 2012 is a day of 11 (add up the digits 1, 2, 2, 1, 2, 0, 1, 2, and you get 11). It has the energy of 11 because we're entering the 11th house of the zodiac. A new age of consciousness is beginning. We'll turn away from our inferior man-made laws and embrace The 11 Eternal Principles-not just the Law of Attraction but the other universal principles, too: The Law of Totality, The Law of Karma, The Law of Wisdom, The Law of Love, The Law of Harmony, The Law of Abundance, The Law of Evolution, The Law of Dharma, The Law of Infinite Possibilities. You cannot make a recipe with one ingredient and you cannot create a better life for yourself and a better world for us all with just one of the divine laws!
Have faith and hold it in your heart. Hold on to that belief that we are going to get through these changes together as we embrace the eternal principles and raise our consciousness. Connect with the divine within. Live by the eleven universal, divine principles and begin to imagine how wonderful our future will be.

--Dr. Carmen Harra

Friday, October 30, 2009

At this time of recession and economic upheaval, we want to believe our financial situations will improve, that the institutions we trusted will change for the better and we’ll see our depleted accounts fill up again. Yet many suspect this isn’t going to happen. We don’t see Wall Street embracing regulation and changes. So, while we want to believe in the Law of Attraction, we’re looking at foreclosures, underwater mortgages, job losses, and all the wealth we’ve lost in the last year and thinking, “How did I attract all of this?” People can’t help doubting that the Law of Attraction works.

The real secret is that it does, but it is only one ingredient in the recipe for living a life that’s fulfilling, peaceful, and abundant. Would you make chicken soup with only chicken, and no water or vegetables? Of course not! But people have been hoping that the Law of Attraction can be used all on its own when it is only 1 of 11 eternal, divine principles. If you understand the other principles, align yourself with them and reject the manmade principles you’ve been following, you’ll find the Law of Attraction works after all.

Two of the 11 principles have the most impact on our ability to magnetically attract what we desire. They are the Law of Totality and the Law of Karma. The Law of Totality states that we are all one, unified in the field of energy. What I do affects you. What you do affects someone you’ve never met who lives halfway around the world. None of us exists in a vacuum! If you feel you can be happy with a lot of money even if acquiring that wealth requires you to harm someone else then you can attract money. However, according to the Law of Attraction, you’ll also face circumstances that reflect your inner greed, fear, and belief that you must “get yours” before anyone else does. Let go of this false belief!

The Law of Karma states that we will attract situations that offer us an opportunity to resolve our unresolved karma. Because we are connected to others, via the Law of Totality, we share karma with others. When a group of people—a family or a nation, for instance—is greedy and takes unfairly from others for their own benefit, without thought to the harm they’re doing, they are all affected by the repercussions from this bad karma the group creates.

Although each of us is just one small person, we can make a difference in the web of creation. We can create good karma, affect those around us, and purify ourselves of the greed, fear, and selfishness that hides in the shadow inside of us. Then we will attract what our conscious minds seek. Our own circumstances will improve and we’ll contribute to manifesting a better world for everyone.

What can you do today to create good karma?

As I listen to the conversations about health care in the United States, I keep thinking about the Law of Totality, a divine, eternal principle I discuss in my forthcoming book, The Eleven Eternal Principles (being published by Crossing Press this November). The Law of Totality says that we are all one, that we cannot disassociate ourselves from the whole because we are spiritual beings comprised of energy. We are part of the universal field of energy. We cannot be separated from each other. Whatever we do affects others as well as ourselves, often in ways we can't observe. When people talk about changing our health care system, again and again I hear, “I don't want to lose my health insurance or my doctor.” In their fear, these people do not understand by perceiving themselves as disconnected from the whole, by looking only at their own circumstances and trying to shore up their own safety, they are creating exactly what they fear. We cannot fix health care as long as everyone is out for himself. The lobbyists and the insurance companies want their money. The politicians want money from the lobbyists but at the same time they want votes. And too many voters want what is best for them, not what's best for everyone. What people don't understand is this: What is best for everyone is best for you because you are part of “everyone.” The moment you start believing the illusion of your separateness, you start competing with others out of a sense of scarcity, and you create scarcity. We will all have the good health we desire and the health care we deserve when we let go of this idea that “I can be healthy, happy, and secure when others are not.” There is no security in clinging to the old way of doing things or in hoarding anything, whether it's money or access to physicians. Each of us must find the courage to evolve to a higher level of consciousness. Then we will see our beauty like the facet of a diamond, just one small part of a shining whole.Carmen Harra
